Psi Chi is the international honors society in psychology.

Psi Chi was established internationally in 1929. The local chapter was formed in 1950. The Humboldt State University Chapter of Psi Chi is dedicated to promoting student awareness and interest in the field of psychology. Psi Chi provides members with scholarship opportunities and undergraduate/graduate research award competitions.

Membership in Psi Chi is open to students who are majoring or minoring in psychology, and attend an institution where a chapter is located, like HSU. Qualified candidates include those of any age, sex, sexual orientation, race, handicap or disability, color, religion, national and ethnic origin, and who meet the minimum qualifications. The Psi Chi Society membership fee is $65. This one-time fee pays for lifetime Psi Chi membership, a certificate of membership, and a membership card. There are no annual Society dues.

Applications are accepted at the beginning of each semester. You will receive an email at the beginning of the semester with information about how to apply and the specific deadline date.
