Hayley is a second-year graduate student in the Academic Research Blended program. She was previously involved in Psychology Club and Psi Chi as Treasurer and Historian in previous years. Hayley is also the lab manager for the Academic Motivation & Resilience Lab on campus. Her interests in psychology include adolescent/young adult transitions and development through post-secondary education.

Rachael is a third-year undergraduate of Psychology and Communication and a first-year graduate student in the Academic Research Blended Program. She is excited to be a part of Psychology Club and Psi Chi for her second year, and is thrilled to serve you during her term. Rachael is also an active research assistant for both the Social Identity and Behavioral Endocrinology Research Labs on campus. Her primary interests include REM/dream study, reality perception, and social neuroscience.

Alyza Grijalva is a fourth year psychology undergraduate, hoping to be accepted into the School Psychology Master’s program. My interests include mental health issues in children and adolescents in schools. She is in her second year as a part of the psychology club/psi chi. She enjoys reading in her spare time.

Rhiannon Crimmins (she/her)

Rhiannon Crimmins is a first year graduate student in the Academic Research program, focusing on Neurology. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Sonoma State University in 2019, and started working as a behavior therapist. She currently assists in the Behavioral Endocrinology Research Lab and the Behavioral Neuroscience Lab, and she is interested in studying ADHD and brain damage. She is excited to join the psychology club and get to know other people with different goals and areas of focus. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, photography, and scrapbooking.

Sophie is a fourth-year psychology undergraduate. She is a member of the Academic Motivation and Resilience Lab, and the Social Identity and Social Influence Lab. Sophie is currently working on her thesis, which looks at college student’s adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). She is especially interested in barriers to academic success for students with ACEs, such as maladaptive beliefs, self-uncertainty and perceived group norms. (she, her).

Chela Boss is a fourth year psychology undergraduate. Her goal is to complete the Master’s program in Counseling and become a therapist. Her interests include attachment, resilience and working with mothers who have mental health issues. She enjoys being part of the psych club because she enjoys being a part of a community of like minded individuals. In her free time she likes to enjoy nature by hiking, biking and swimming in the rivers.

Michael is a Senior transfer student majoring in Psychology and graduating this Spring. He has earned his Associates Degree in Psychology from Rio Hondo college and is interested in continuing his education to earn his masters in the future, is particularly interested in Social Psychology and Human development. He is a member of the Social Identity Research Lab and the National Society Of Leadership and Success with hope of being of great service to the Psvch Club and looking forward to the rest of his time here at Humboldt.

Asia Mullins is a 4th year undergraduate psychology major, and is completing a minor in early childhood development. She has also participated in research labs as a research assistant (past: Cognitive research lab with Dr. Sanchez, current: Academic motivation & resilience lab with Dr. Villarreal). Asia plans to attend graduate school (school to be determined) in order to achieve her goal of becoming a cognitive researcher.

Grace Belt (she/her) is a fourth year undergraduate of Psychology and will soon be a graduate student in the Academic Research Blended Program. She is particularly interested in Social Psychology and plans on obtaining her Ph.D in the future. She is also an active member of the Social Identity and Social Influence Research Lab as well as the Social Influence Research Lab. She is very excited to be a member of the Psi Chi Club and can't wait to connect with other Psychology students! Outside of Psychology, Grace likes to practice meditation and yoga. She is also extremely interested in environmentalism and hiking the local trails

Zaida is a fourth-year psychology undergraduate. Her goal is to get her Bachelors in Psychology and then get a Masters in Counseling or possibly Social Work. Zaida’s passions in psychology are clinical psychology, social psychology, trauma, and addiction. Zaida works at a shelter for teens and in her past time enjoys going on hikes and hanging with friends.

Xelha Puc (she/her) is a fourth year undergraduate majoring in Psychology. Her goals after graduation are to apply for the Teaching Credential Program in Humboldt in hopes to become a teacher. Her interests in particular are Counseling and Educational psychology. She is so excited to join the Psych club and meet everyone. Out of school, Xelha enjoys testing out new food recipes and taking her pup to the dog park.

Portia(they/them) is a fourth year undergraduate at HSU majoring in psychology with a minor in Child Development. They plan on getting a PsyD in child psychology. Portia’s passions in psychology are neuropsychology, psychology of addiction, and child development. Their hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with their animals
